Our Start

The inspiration for the Pink Tree Foundation was a young woman from Vaughan, named Amanda-Crystal, who after her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, wanted to create awareness within her community. She understands that Cancer can affect anyone at any time; it does not discriminate. The Pink Tree Foundation was established as a not-for-profit organization to provide a base where like-minded people can support and champion a cause that has affected someone they know.

 

Our Goals

The Pink Tree Foundation is on a mission to fundraise to establish a drop-in Cancer Wellness Centre for individuals, families and friends affected by Cancer, in York Region. We are committed to providing a free and comfortable environment where peer-based conversations will be held to support, inspire, uplift, empower, educate and help those affected by Cancer, to rebuild their lives. A place where people can interact with others who have walked in their footsteps, answer questions and provide comfort to help make their journey a little less anxious and a little more tranquil.

We also fundraise to raise awareness and funds to advance Breast Cancer Research and other Medical Cancer Research in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
